I wasn’t sure what to expect when our group decided to dine here on a Saturday evening, but I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed! We ordered the appetizer sampler plate to share and our own entrees as well. All the flavors were phenomenal! We were also able to bring our own wine (since they are BYOB), which was greatly appreciated. Pro tip: get here early if you’re dining in on a weekend, since they don’t take reservations and fill up fast!
Pera Turkish cuisine is rustic, elegant decor. The food plating was superb and the food was delicious. Calamari was cooked perfectly, crispy and right amount of chew. The spicy mayo was very good. The falafel was crispy and flavorful inside. The yogurt dipping sauce went well with falafel. The server was very attentive. Definitely will return.
Everything was delicious. The staff was amazing and very tentative to our every need. If you are looking for good food, great service and a nice atmosphere. Bingo, this is the place.
Coming from a Turk - best Turkish food I have ever had in the US. Everything we ate was delicious and authentic, and the ambience was cozy, which made the whole experience even better.
Having been to other Turkish restaurants in the US, I kept my expectations low, but I was really surprised. I wish further success to the whole team. Authentic Turkish cuisine is incredible, and it deserves more recognition in the US.
First time dining here and most definitely not our last! We were blown away at how amazing the food was. Every dish we had was so unique and flavorful. Our waitress was very friendly and took her time explaining each dish. The lamb dumplings were a personal favorite of mine, but every plate was a 10/10.
We went here on a Wednesday evening around 5. It was relatively easy to find street parking 🅿️. Although it was not crowded at 5PM, by 6PM it was pretty much at full capacity.
Service was top notch. The staff was attentive, gave some nice recommendations and brought the food out fast. Food presentation was good. We tried their appetizer platter. Everything was great except for tabouleh (we personally prefer tabouleh from Lebanese restaurants better). For main we got iskender kebab, hunkar begendi, chicken Adana, cipura (white fish)
Loved all them. The meat of hunkar begendi was so tender and soft. It melts in your mouth. Isekener kebab with yogurt is made to perfection. Fish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Adana kebab was one the best we have ever had.
For dessert we got kunefe and kazandibi with Turkish tea ☕. They were fine.
Will rate this place 5/5. Will definitely come back here and recommend this place to others as well. Also, they said the food here is halal.
Tried it as take out and the food was great and had real taste. It’s too expensive as takeout, the mixed grill dish was at $36 but can imagine it being worth if you go in person. Definitely one of the better experiences I’ve had with Turkish restaurants.
Pera is a refined Turkish restaurant. The staff is actually Turkish and proud of their cuisine. The head chef in the kitchen is also Turkish and knows what he’s doing. The food is delicious and authentic. My mother, who is an excellent Greek home cook, had very high praises for this place. And she hates most restaurants. If that’s not a major compliment, I don’t know what is. Highly recommend!
